27 Aug 2014: @Sea
Still at sea and thank goodness plain sailing so far.Has
been raining on and off. Well last night just before we got into bed there was
a code Bravo call, that had my hubby flying into his clothes in a few seconds!!
That means a fire on board and is the most dangerous situation on a ship at
sea. Luckily they got it under control quickly, so very thankful for that.
So can’t complain about a boring life here!! Always
something on the go. Something to get use to is being in the gym on the running
machine and the ship is rolling from side to side, a weird feeling but you get
use to it. Jy klou maar en hou aan hol!
Had breakfast late this morning only to hear that the
medical team are off to eat sushi again today but had to give it a skip, to
full from my late breakfast!! Also attended a talk where the ships cruise director,
hotel director and chefs tell the passengers about their work and you can ask
them questions about ship life and how they do everything, was very interesting.
One passenger wanted to know what the code Bravo meant! Think it is better when
you don’t know everything.
Chef said they have their drama behind the scenes like when
they order their food 21 days before a cruise only to discover that the bacon
was not delivered. Then you pull out all the stops and have to make plans to
get it before the ship leaves. Stressful times or should I say drama, behind
the scenes.
Got started with my bead work, so that kept me busy this afternoon.
Overheard a couple at lunch time arguing about their on board account, so that
sounded like trouble! Think with being at sea an extra day, you will spend more
on the ship than usual, have to come up for the poor lady!!
Did not get our room pantry stocked with our sweet things
before we left Bermuda so can’t wait for Boston. Was pouring with rain and the
wind was blowing, so decided against going out to get stuff. Hubby informed me
that we did sidestep the storm, so was glad to hear that. Well until next time,
bye
