19 Sept 2014: Le Baie

Cold, very cold here,even Liefie decided to wear his rain jacket and closed the ears, which does not happen often. Very nice port and the town is spread over a large area. Down town 11 miles from the pier area, so too far to walk and a taxi ride is $15, so we stayed in the port village area. This port also got the award for the best port welcome cruise insight award in 2009,12 and 13.

People are very friendly and helpful, really go out of their way to make you feel welcome .Al wat lol is die Frans,but they do also speak English, thank goodness. Terminal building in port is heated so that was great and Free Wi-Fi !!!!!  Got my blog posted and most of the pics of the places visited to now. Decided to try there blueberry pie maar dit was nie n wenner nie!! Skip se crepes met blueberry vir my lekkerder,en Bermuda se roomys met vars  blueberries.Niks so lekker soos hot chocolate as dit so koud is nie.

Later we just went for a quick walk all along the waterfront which was great but very cold so did not last very long. Was a brisk walk!!Then we were back in the warm building, is seker siek word stories.Also had a guy playing a trek klavier and later in the day a lady playing the piano which was nice, got the guy on video just to give you the vibe.

Going to be watching the sail away at 7h00 from deck 7, which will be freezing but then after that it will be hot shower and then warm bed for us. Well, until tomorrow ,bye.
