1 Sept 2014 : Bermuda

On Monday morning after hubby had given his lecture we got of the ship and were ready for our beach day! So off we went, back to our beach that not too many visitors have discovered, yet. Beautiful day but hot and humid, so by the time we got to the beach it was straight into the water just to cool down.

The water was this lovely blue colour and totally flat, so there were yachts, ski boats, Jet Ski all over the show! Got some of our photos that we took, onto the blog. Having trouble with the island Wi-Fi, that goes on and off, is very irritating, so if I have posted the same pic more than once forgive me.

Felt and looked like a beached whale just lying in the shallow water, was fantastic, you just want to stay in the water. Next time I will definitely bring my water shoes along, beaches have a lot of pebbles before you get deeper. Have got a photo of the beach whale in the water but decided can’t put that onto blog!! Even have my slip slops, on while swimming!! Scary sight!!

Hubby got his tan but underestimated this Bermuda sun and was red, very very hot. First we were on the sand but then we moved to the grass under the trees for shade with was much nicer and cooler. So there we could lie in the shade and listen to music from home which was great. Amazing how some times and things you do, that don’t cost anything, are the times you will remember for ever. We had a lovely day in the sun.

After the walk back to the ship, we needed another swim!! But ended getting a nice big frozen yogurt with our blue berries, AGAIN!! .No wonder my tube around my waste is growing.This time we sat inside the café just to enjoy the aircon. When I told hubby I wished I could jump from Calico Jacks (the ship) into the water, he had to remind me again about the guy with the dislocated shoulder and said rather not!!!

Well, after a nice shower and some food, I perched myself on a sun lounger on  deck 7 overlooking the harbour and did all my business on ipad. There I got stuck until the sun was going down and I took those beautiful photos of sunset in Bermuda after a fantastic day. Could not believe our luck especially after last week’s terrible weather.

Die Bermuda son het klaar gespeel met die 2 matrose!! Sommer vroeg bed toe en so uit soos n kers!!

2 Sept 2014 : Bermuda

It was time for another drill for the crew so late morning we had to come in from the outside decks so that they could do what they had to do! They have a drill every week. After they were done, I was back on the deck on my sun lounger. So nice since I have discovered that I can pick up the island wi-fi from deck 7.

Weer met stampe en stote gegaan maar het darem n paar fotos gelaai gekry op blog.Toe moes ek van skip aflkim om weer voorrade te gaan aankoop by apteek op die eiland. Sien my rol om die maag begin nou weer groei!! so sal moet plan maak, dalk net vrugte een vir n week!! Elke dag goeie planne maar hou nie lank nie dan swig ek weer voor die versoeking!!

Met up with hubbys colleague before getting back onto ship and one thing I can say about them beautifully dressed,kan hom deur ring trek,hy hou van winkels en shop!!! en ons lyk soos Hill Billie’s met costuum en sloffies as ons afklim en wil net strand toe!!

Het ook elke week voor die skip vertrek uit Bermuda n partytjie op die pier ,so as die passasiers terug kom van hulle rondloop wag die crew met musiek,dansery en rooi tapyt vir hulle.Speel die lekkerste musiek en almal wat rondstaan val ook maar in met die ritme.Het fotos geneem en video.Gelukkig is die dans, nie deel van Liefie se pos beskrywing nie!!!!

Die 1 gangway was al opgetrek toe n catamaran vol mense skielik verskyn en ek besef ons skip wag vir hulle!!! Wel dit was n geskarrel en gehardloop en hulle is toe veilig aan boord.Omdat die mense op n skip excursion was sal die skip vir hulle wag, voor hy seil, dis net as jy op jou eie is dan los hulle jou agter.Die beste vir my was toe die catamaran weer by ons skip verby seil,toe speel daardie man die lekkerste musiek, klip hard,waai te mooi  en maak n bier oop, terwyl hy verby seil,op die perfekte middag. Another day in paradise!!! So spyt het nie my kamera uitgehad nie, n special oomblik,sou so n mooi video gewees het.

Ek verkies om eerder nie in die offesiere mesh te gaan eet nie want dis  maar n stywe storie, jy eet van n menu en word bedien.Voel seker ook maar so ,want ek staan uit!! Soos puisie.Crew mesh baie meer relaxed en lekker.So ek eet maar  in die skip se Garden Café en soms saam met hulle.Op die ander skepe kon Liefie saam met my gaan in sy wit werksklere ,wat baie lekker was,hier moet hy in aande hulle uitgaan klere dra, so is n affere.

Vanaand hoeka  sy beurt om deel te neem aan die wave,so dis weer n laat aand.Gister gehoor dat die company nog 2 skeep maatskappye uitgekoop het.Hulle is kleiner skepe en is van daardie waar die mense lyk my aandele koop of timeshare en om die wereld kan toer.Het nie nou die inligting by my nie so met volgende inskrywing dalk meer inligting oor dit.Ook maar goed daar is mense met visie en groot drome om sulke goed aan te pak, so dankbaar nie myne nie! Nou ja tot volgende keer, nou is dit eers weer diep see toe, vir ons!!
