12 Mei 2014: Port Canaveral

Vroeg weer gym toe gewees maar darem beter gegaan vandag.Daarna lekker ontbyt gehad en toe besluit gaan nie afklim vandag nie, Kan julle glo!!! Soos ek laas week gese het hawe area baie groot en moet taxi vat na alles toe, so teen dit besluit.Het sommer al my e-mails geskryf en voor ek my kon kry was dit al 17h00.Ons seil vanaand? 21h00 uit die hawe uit .

Lekker warm buite, so ons sal vanaand buite op dek 12 aandete kan eet.Heelwat van die crew wat huis toe gaan, het afgeklim vandag, so hulle smile van oor tot oor, dit na 6 of 9 maande kontrakte wat lank is.Huis bly maar Huis.

More is dit weer die eiland en daar gaan ek afklim, veral as die weer lekker is.Het genoeg son gehad so sal maar my surf vest aantrek.Verbeel jou, ou vrou met surf vest!! Moet eers vertel, vra vir Liefie sal hy al my sonvlekke brand voor ek gaan en sy chirp was, wel ! dan gaan my hele lyf vol brandmerke wees!!!  weer in een van sy puttige buie.Nog n intressante ding om te sien was, terwyl ons in die hawe is, werk die duikers onder die boot met al hulle toue en pype .Dit het ek nou dopgehou van dek 7 af terwyl ek bietjie wind gekry het, aangesien ek nie afgeklim het nie.Het ook gesien hoe n polisie hond elke container wat gelaai word deur snuffel.Darem baie ander goed wat aangaan op so n skip wat mens nie eers van weet nie.

Nou ja tot more CHOW! soos die spanjaarde ook se.

 

13 Mei 2014: Great Stirrup Cay (Island in Bahamas)

Arrived at island at 9h00 this morning.Takes a while to get all the passengers of the ship, so you first  get a ticket with different times, to board the tender boats that come from the island, to pic us up.So I had more than enough time to have a good breakfast, before I hit the beach!! Just sad that hubby could not enjoy it with me.

Murphys law, he will most probably be off next week when I am home!! But I won’t moan because just being here together a privelidge.Well this morning I did a walkabout before I decided to lie down on those chairs that make you very lazy!! Once you on them,and the longer you lie on them you seem to get weaker and weaker, as the day goes on.

This week I knew how things work, so at lunch time I went to the cafeteria on the island and had a lovelly hamburger and salads.Last week I ate nothing and took my own cooldrink with but this week I knew and enjoyed this great opportunity.They really make this visit to island something special and go to a lot of trouble to make it a pleasant and enjoyable day.

They had to cancel the parasailing today because of the wind that was a bit to strong.Early morning it looked like we were going to have some rain but in the end it turned out a lovelly day even with the wind.Sea a bit rough.I was wondering if any people actually live on the island permanently but will have to ask hubby about that.

My highlight of the day was snorkelling, had a fantastic time and saw the most beautifull fish, the water is crystal clear and you can see a few meters infront of you.Will definitely be doing that again, was amazing, had ou vrou hande en voete after I had finished, you just don’t get enough and with the warm water, it is great.

Saw a school of fish that must have been hundreds together, I kept going back to them .On the rocks there were other fish that seem to live in holes in the rocks or maybe there hiding place, they seemed  inquisitive ,tried to hold onto the rocks but the currant kept washing me away.Ook maar bang jan!! If hubby was with me I would have ventured a lot further, so next time! They have snorkelling routes, so think that must be a very nice excurtion to do.

Talk about having a bad hairday, hierdie lewe op die see en my hare, werk nie lekker saam nie.Have decided maybe I must work with the sea air and not against it!! So from today I am just going to let it go!!!!  Sal seker bietjie wild en woes lyk, sal maar sien wat Liefie se comment is, want wees verseker hy sal iets te se, he!!  En om die dik hare van my, glad en plat te kry, kos werk.

Well, we are on our way and tomorrow we are in Nassau in the Bahamas, maybe I am going to give Atlantis a visit or will just go exploring again and see what comes up.Hubby was there on one of his trips and loved it.Was very hot last week, so holding thumbs, it is a bit cooler tomorrow.

My suntan lotion is finished and don’t want to buy new bottle now, maar vir kreef rooi sien ek ook nie kans nie, so sal maar sien, dalk kan ek nog n druppel of twee uit die bottle kry! Dink en Droom al klaar oor daardie mango ys drankie wat ek laas week daarso gekoop het, was heerlik. Was of baie lekker of ek was bitter dors gewees.Tot more,mooi bly
