25 Januarie 2015 Tampa

Vanoggend vroeg in Tampa aangekom en so is my eerste week ook verby,het omtrent gevlieg maar soos hulle se,wanneer jy iets geniet vlieg die tyd mos.Was bitter koud  op die buite dekke so moes my paar warm klere aantrek vir die koue,hulle verwag erge sneeu(blissard)  in Boston en New York so lyk my nog in die greep van winter, verlede week was beslis bietjie warmer gewees.Gelukkig soos ons af beweeg Mexico se kant toe raak dit al hoe warmer.Ek is toe op Liefie se aanwysings al stappende na n hotel naby die waterfront maar hier is vir my orals water en inhamme! Kon darem my blog pos en tydskrifte aflaai maar kon wraggies nie 1 foto op my blog gepos kry nie waaroor ek so teleurgesteld is maar nou ja so gaan dinge,sal maar aanhou probeer, miskien is ek gelukkig.Het by n baie mooi deel uitgekom naby die convention centre met n water walk way soos hulle dit noem en  al langs dit gestap,baie hardlopers gekry en mense wat fiets ry,was pragtige dag met geen wind,doodstil .Het n pratige wit trui in Cozumel gesien en nou kan ek mos se, het dit nodig vir Tampa se koue!!! Gelukkig gaan ons terug elke week so mens het baie tyd vir kyk en besluit wat wil jy koop,n sak vol $ sou darem ook baie lekker gewees het!! Weet mens moet nie heeltyd convert nie maar mens doen dit maar inelkgeval.Die see was maar rof gisteraand al die pad terug na Tampa toe tot ons 2 eendtjies in  ons porthole vensterbank het geskuif!! Sal hulle vir julle ook op die blog sit,was Liefie se een   Kersgeskenk,te oulik.Soos Liefie se, nie lank gevat nie, toe het ek die kamer geinfiltreer met al my goed en dinge,soos  Groet die Grotman se: net die toilet jou eie!! Nou ja tot more

Wel gister was n lekker rustige dag op die wye blou see en was darem rustiger en kalmer as die vorige dae.Liefie was af so ons het gaan gym,ons stap sessie  dek 6 ingekry en die middag wat net n le en lees sessie moes wees, het toe geeindig in n slaapery/siesta!! Ek het tot gesnork hoor ek, so het lekker geslaap.Dis nou een ding van die skip ek slaap vir dood,mal oor dit lyk seker soos twee hamstertjies wat lepel le! Genade en seen. Gisteraand was dit weer tyd vir n Gurka ete wat die sekuriteit  voorberei het, so al die crew wat hou van baie warm kos daag op en voor jy weet is dit op!Moet bieg is hot, very hot.Jy moet weet as hulle spesiaal water glase ook uitsit saam met die kos dan weet jy hier kom n ding.Daarna was dit weer tyd vir dek 11 en nagereg, met die wind in ons hare.Die einde van n lekker seedag .Op TV gesien dat arme New York en Boston toe is ons die sneeu en lyk nogal erg,maar bly ek het dit gemis anders weet ek nie wat ek sou gedoen het met die vlugte nie,die skip wag vir niemand nie.

27 Januarie 2015 Roatan:

This morning I woke up with the sun shining in through our porthole and at first I asked hubby to put off the light, only to discover it was the sun shining into our room! Then you know you had a good night’s sleep. This sea air seem to sort you out quickly, can’t get enough sleep. Very excited to be going to Maya Key private island for the day with some of the medical team because hubby on duty. It is a short boat ride from Roatan and is a 11.5 acres of private land, also has a Mayan interpretation centre and animal rescue centre. All the animals have been donated, rescued, injured or confiscated. You can even participate in a shark snorkel or sea lion encounter don’t think it will be this chicken, thank you. Also a shop with local Honduran souvenirs, so we will see what awaits us. Roatan  has the second largest barrier reef in the world so I am taking my snorkel gear with .Well what a day we had, first of all we had a delicious lunch when we got there, and then we explored the island and saw all the different animals and climbed up to the Mayan Interpretation centre. After that it was time for a swim and snorkel which was amazing, they have this wooden pier that stretches out into the sea and at the end of that a little house with a palm tree leave roof and a ladder into the water. So off I went snorkelling all along a rope at the bottom of the ocean to guide you which made things a lot easier. Saw the most amazing fishes then on our way back on the wooden pier, the best part of the day, Aaka asked Aubry to marry him, he is a security officer and she one of the nurses and today they have been going out for 2 years. We did not have a clue that he was planning this but was amazing because Ulrika and I were the photographers who witnessed the whole thing, which was very special. First he asked if one of us had a scarf which he could use to blindfold Aubrey, then he pulled out two t-shirts with a picture of him proposing and the words WILL YOU MARRY ME?  Then she opened her eyes and he went down onto his knees with his little black box and the most beautiful ring, and the t- shirt that asked her to marry him, luckily she said yes and as they say, the rest is history, kisses, hugs, happy tears and a view to die for. Was very, very special. So nice to see young people in love, full of hopes and dreams for the future, a life ahead of them. So our day ended on a very high note!! A smile on your face and a warm heart. Until tomorrow, bye
